Objects

To advise its members of the work of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and International Standards Organization (ISO) concerning life-saving equipment standards and regulations regarding servicing and maintenance

To maintain direct contact with IMO through its Observer and Consultative Status promoting new ideas, sharing expertise and know how on the life saving equipment servicing and maintenance

To maintain direct contact with other IMO Members and Industry Associations’ promoting new ideas, sharing expertise and know how on the life saving equipment servicing and maintenance

To use its expertise to enhance quality of life saving equipment servicing and maintenance
-
To ensure that only those companies and organizations committed to maintain the required standards are admitted as members

To promote the image of the industry
There are two categories of Members:
Full Members and Associate Members
An Associate Member shall be entitled to the same rights and subject to the same obligations as a Full Member except for the voting rights (2 votes each Full Member, 1 vote each Associate Member) and shall be only be required to pay 50% of the annual subscription determined by the Directors.
- The prospective member completes and submits the online form to the email info@isspa.co.uk
- The Association considers the application
- If the Association provisionally accepts the application it sends the prospective new member a “Welcome Pack” which encloses the Bye-Laws. New members will then need to signify their agreement to the Bye-Laws, and take any other steps required by the Welcome Pack, in order to become officially admitted as members.
